With the first part I was going to say Wendy really has you on a short leash, but you corrected it. There is a really good book out, The Art of raising a puppy by the Monks of New Skete I think that is good. It works even on dogs that are not puppys (as long as they are not wild and violent I guess). I read it, but my brother wanted to hire some lady to come out for a training lesson, and she told me "I guess you know what you are doing". My brother never called her back for the second session. The book's first two chapters were way cheaper than the first session. But the rest of the book came free.
