Im Sure I will reach out when I get closer.

I am still at the planning/ buying parts phase.

I need to go see my local cruiser shop who happens to specialize in 80 series and gather some parts. I’m hoping there’s enough stock parts in the pile to piece mine together.

I drive mine every single day and reallly hate having it torn down. I missed last summer with it due to engine failure.

I’ve got a lot of things that I have planned. My suspension swap will be a ways out.
I do have some of the axle side brackets from an 80 series axle, if you decide to go with coil springs and shocks. I will round them up and take a pic. I was worried that the 80 springs would be too stiff. I plan to use TJ/LJ springs and brackets on the rear when I 4 link it. I think they will be more apple to apple comparison than the heavy 80 stuff. Who knows.

No rush on the pictures. Thanks

I can smell the metal dust from across the country! Not to mention my ears are ringing from the thought of all the grinding going on!

Glasses, respirator, face shield, ear muffs, and the radio turned up!

I think I only believe the radio part.

Now if you would have said flip flops and a thong….
Here you go! 90's stereo with 5 disc changer for the win paired with some Kicker speakers.

I do try to wear this stuff to help save my eyes and lungs.

Ok. Shocks on. I need more spring rate. Only 3" od shaft showing with 2" of pre load. Will wait for my shock guy to send me some new ones. Currently have 200 over 250. I need to look at a chart to see.

I raised it up to ride height to see where it will land. Those are 35's.. it is 2 3/8 taller than before. So it had a 2 1/2" spring plus shackle. So about a 5" lift. 3" wider. Not bad.

Looking good. I am very interested to hear how this performs.
I will keep everyone updated. We will see at Relic Run next month. Then I need to start on the rear. You can see in person in August and go for a ride.

I would like to ride in yours as well and compare.

You will be able to see this next month at Relic Run! We can catch up. I need to order the 80 series v-8 swap stuff for my customer from you and have you bring it if you have room.
