I'm about to start a new project. Going to split the aftermarket headlight take measurements of the inner and outer halos and order switchbacks and replace the stock halos w/ these. that way it'll double as DRL and turn signal. Hopfeully the headlight cover uses some sort of seal that can be opened up and not glued in.

If anyone is interested I am parting ways with my OEM 2006 LX headlights set in polycarbonate lens retrofitted with Morimoto Mini H1 8.0 clear lens projectors on Morimoto Elite HiD kit (50w ballast + 6000k Xenon bulbs). I ordered a new pair of OEMs HLs on glass lens which I will retrofit again. I’m a dm away if you wish to see the output pictures of the headlights at night. This is ready to use.

So just to update this one. I cracked it up with a heat gun and thankfully they didnt use a lot of butyl tape so I was able to heat it and pull the front lens off.

Took calipers to the halos and measured.

Low Beam: 66mm ID and 81mm OD - aftermarket equivalent is an 80mm switchback halo
High Beam: 86mm ID and 101mm OD - aftermarket equivalent is a 100mm switchback halo.

Going to order them and take a crack at installing them. This way I can replace my yellow halogen hi beam bulb with and LED one and have LED halos that act as DRL and turn indicators.
