LX450 Potential Head Gasket leak / Cracked Head

My mechanic installed the Samco PHH hose in a spot coming out of the firewall on the left side of the engine, when facing the vehicle. I only gave him 3 Samco hoses and they are all visible in the second photo of the engine that I posted.
 
Was the phh supposed to be replacing the actual phh? you could have saved a bunch of quarters getting some gates 5/8" HH and replacing those segments with that instead of the silicone hoses (which are inferior).
 
I hear you. The Samco Xtreme PHH hose I ordered from PHHKit.com is for the PHH - it just ended up in the wrong spot. The other two Samco Xtreme silicone hoses replace the firewall heater hoses. The breeze constant torque stainless steel clamps are upgrades from OEM clamps. Heck, I thought these Samco silicone hoses were virtually unbreakable, no?
