I finally got the new interior in my LX 450 and it is so much better than stock. I worked with Shane (MetricTLC on Mud or aatlas1x@aol.com ) to match the color of the leather to the brown colored plastic in the interior of the Lexus. No more discoloration of the tan seats and this leather feels like a fine italian sofa compared to the plastic coated stock seats. I used tan stitching to match the door panel inserts, added a little extra foam in the center and also had Shane put in seat heaters (black buttons on the console) as it gets a little chilly during the winter in Oregon. I take great pride in my Lexus and Shane went out of his way to make sure that I was happy with the interior. It is rare to get the kind of service that Shane provided me with and I cannot recommend his products enough. His goal is to have the highest quality products manufactured and it really shows in the pictures below. I have 212K miles on this beauty and now that the interior is updated, I cannot wait to put the next 100K on it! Feel free to email me with any questions that you have on the new seat covers or if you would like more pictures. If you are thinking about replacing the old leather in your Lexus, you have to consider this option. It looks amazing! Jason Hartenberger

What is the ballpark for Shane to do this type of work... don't need exact $ just the neighborhood. Thanks.

What would the average auto upholstery shop charge to put these covers on?? Definitely need more foam for the seat pan (cushion).

Beautiful! Looks sooo comfy

I regret not using his kit. Oh well, in five years when I replace what I had done I will use his.

Oh man, I love the looks of that! Any chance Shane is relocating to the greater Memphis area in the very near future?

I was going to install the interior myself but Shane had a local shop that would do it for aboout $300 so it was a no brainer. I had replaced the drivers side foam about 2 years ago so I went ahead and replaced the passenger foam while I was doing all of this. I do not remember exactly the cost but it was about $900 for the leather kit which is an exact replacement of the original, $160 for the seat heaters and $300 for install. I was going to pay $570 for the Lexus replacement cover (just the bottom) and would have had to buy the foam anyway so this was a bargain. This interior looks as good as my brothers Mercedes GL450 and transformed my toy. If you order the set, make sure to get the console cover and arm rests as they really tie it all together (see below). Any good upholstery shop should be able to install them for $300 since they do not have to customize them, just install them. He also is doing recovered steering wheels and shifter knobs which I will be ordering soon as mine are starting to show wear after 200K (Wah I Know). They match exactly and look so nice, I cannot wait!

$300-400 for both rows. Additional for heated seats.
