Guys I have an ‘08 LX 570.

Well, the OCD person that I am wanted to replace the rusted roof rack screws, specifically the M6x17mm underneath the rack that are removed by low profile T30 torx screwdrivers. Anyone able to source any online so I can avoid dealer markup prices?

I have attached pics above.

Thanks!

Tony,

Tried to make some sense of the schematics but apologies, my goodness illustrations are so crappy. The only schematics I see for the roof rack is this one:

ROOF PANEL & BACK PANEL | LEXUS LX570 URJ201 URJ201L-GNTGKA | Lexus | Genuine Parts Catalogs | PartSouq Auto Parts Around the World

But as you can see, I don't see any bolts that are listed that I am looking for. Maybe wrong page?

KLF, fastenal search engine is not great but I really liked the McMaster-Carr website. Unfortunately, the only bolts I was able to find were the following:

This one has the button top Torx but missing the angled countersink:

McMaster-Carr

This Torx bolt has the angled countersink but instead is a flat top:

McMaster-Carr

I think the compromise is to get a button top countersunk screw but with a Philips head:

McMaster-Carr

Thanks!

They screw in directly underneath the rack. Top pic is front right, bottom is front left. Pics attached, thanks!

If it were me, I would walk into the showroom of your closest Fastenal and have them do the search, I've generally been very happy with the service there. You will probably have to buy a box of 100 though. Maybe offer up a package here for nominal $ once you use the ones you need.

Stainless steel would be more important to me than having the same exact button head and torx size.

Thanks KLF, well it turns out there is a Fastenal local to me so I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the imformative replies.

I'll report back and see what pans out.

Thanks!

Best compromise and probably what I’d go with McMaster-Carr
