I'll just tell her the tank allows me to get the leaves out of the deep end of her pool. She will be impressed with that.
Don't forget tree trimming and removal....

Dan - I can relate. I have a Viar that I use to top off her leaky Lexus tires

Oh I've got my own personal crew for that. Dangle a beer in front of them and they will work for hours. It may not be obvious in this photo but @peterb is the supervisor.
Well, he IS smiling, so he much enjoy it!
You (and he) be in hawg heaven with CO2 powered accessories :)

UPDATE

Carl the upholsterer has had shoulder reconstruction surgery so is laid up / on light duty for a bit. Torfab will do some wrap-up and detail work until Carl is back to a full schedule. Truck should be done in time for a run to Katemcy for the Lone Star Round Up in March.

In the meantime, here's a little sumthin' for those of you with 70 Series burnout fantasies :)

I know, but the 7X burn outs didn't compare...

Is that one of those TDI Volkswagens??

Truck is back at Torfab for security, interior side panels, fine tuning, etc.

Need to fab a cover for the winch and get the shoes on.

The winch was rotated to reduce profile in front of radiator for engine and AC cooling. This configuration resulted in the synthetic line being exposed to Washington weather, so need to fabricate a cover secured by snaps or Velcro.

Slight change of plans on side panels. The interior guy was going to do HDPE replacements for the OEM cardboard units but he's out for rehab so Tor and the crew are doing steel replacements....providing for vents, electrical panel access and storage.

Guess we will be "up armored" :)

The plan is to powder coat the panels same gray as wheels.

Torfab = Awesome

SIDE PANEL UPDATE

Well, things have changed a bit. Here's the background - I had a set of Kevin Rowland's WagonGear side panels for my FJ 62 wagon and loved 'em. Great design, excellent product. When the Burrito arrived and I realized the interior would get updated, went looking for options (Kevin has dialled back a bit).

I posted up a thread on the subject (73/74 Owners: Any Interest in HDPE Side Panels?) and concluded that cutting some plastic sheet was a pretty easy solution and several folks noted past/future interest either for own use or production. Not having any skills, I hoped someone would offer a finished solution. @fireball Ben has the skills and a shop and is working on a product.

In the meantime, I found an interior/upholstery guy who said he would reproduce the factory panels (rear sides and rear doors) in plastic sheet and install....fine, done, no problem.....except he has had shoulder surgery and is out of action for a bit as described in above posts. As noted, Torfab volunteered to make up some panels to fit......from metal......or (now) maybe plastic.......... Like I said, things changed.

Current thinking: sheet plastic with textured surface, high pressure water jet for cutting, flat head hex head hardware for attachment, speaker grilles, etc.

Torfab is now designing a couple sets of prototype panels - rear sides and rear doors. We/they are now thinking aluminum or HDPE with access hatches for washer bottle (or fuse block in my case) on right rear corner, jack storage (left rear corner) and storage hatches behind the speaker grilles on sides. Tor and Donovan (designer/lead tech) will build a couple, figure out the details, determine production issues and pricing and, then, MAYBE put them in production.

No promises, but there MAY be a solution at a price. IF they come to market, the range of options would likely include front door panels as well, but no promises. IF and WHEN they come to market, they won't be cheap. The vinyl/cardboard panels can still be had (I think) but they aren't cheap and the rear sides don't provide much in the way of storage access. I would assume the Torfab kit (when done) will be significantly more expensive than the OEM panels and a lot more than Home Depot DIY.

I will continue to update this build thread, but will keep it brief, with most info/detail getting posted on the original 70 Series thread on this topic. 73/74 Owners: Any Interest in HDPE Side Panels?

UPDATE

Side panels are mocked up. Super secret security stuff embedded. New shoes on board. Windows tinted and being reinstalled. Tor is driving for a few days to debug.

Tire/wheel combo definitely helps broaden the track. Exhaust may only be a single, but it is a big one :)
