Due to our wonderful economic conditions my Job has been eliminated here in So Cal. I still have a job with the railroad but we are moving to Reno.

This is good and bad,

The good, the Housing market in Reno is tanked bad, alot worse than here, and we can buy about 3 times the house for about a third the cost and I finally get a shop, great wheeling and family are really close there, and the best part I still have a job !!!...

The bad is we have to pack up all our stuff and leave all of our great freinds here and try and sell our house in a really bad housing market.

I will post more when we get it all worked out.

I have been in Reno for the last week working and will be going back and forth for 2 or 3 months, depends on when/if the house here sells. (pray for that...) My new boss is someone I have worked with in the past and he is really working with me on the move. We have alot to do here and alot to move..

As far as wheeling goes, Most of the Nor Cal bunch is just over the mountain, Top of the Rubicon is about 40 minutes from where we will be living.. so its not at all bad on the wheeling front, and alot of the places I like to camp and wheel are close. and no more state income tax...

thanks to everyone for the support......this is a great group, like Smitty I will stay in touch and look forward to seeing some of you at the rubicon and moab.......

Norcal group is a great group to get to know Ray. Follow the link here on the board, join their Yahoo! chat group and introduce yourself and you'll see!

Best wishes, Ray! It's always tough to leave friends behind, but all in all it seems like a pretty good deal. Keep in touch.

Ray:

Very bummed to hear you guys are moving. At least it’s not very far. Have to admit I am jealous about how close you will be to the Rubicon. Keep in touch, let us know how it’s going from time to time.

Ray,

Best wishes to you and the family during the transition. I will always have fond Birf job memories of your driveway. I hope you make it back to visit these clowns better than I have!
