I'm wondering what solutions are available for the 23 gallon gas tank to increase range. Mainly for towing but for backcountry travel, as well. Do any auxiliary gas tank systems work with the GX? I'm specifically looking at the 07 and 08 year models. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

yeah man-a-fre. A true Aux system is going to run you a few thousand bucks. Easier to spend the money on a good rear bumper with some cans for 10 gallons of reserve. You would be surprised how long a tank lasts you in a GX offroad.

For me, off road MPG sucks, about 11mpg. I will someday get an aux tank.

Thanks for the man a fre reference. Looks pricey but there is a very well priced 2008 with 110k miles that is tough to pass up. I'd be using the GX to pull my travel trailer so I'd like more than a 210 mile range per tank(assuming 10mpg). I'll get a man a fre or build my own if I go this route. Thanks for the input!
