Just run the flex line straight off of the caliper to the hard line.

Marlin Crawler has these neat bushings now: Tapered Tie Rod Adapter | Marlin Crawler, Inc.

Not as cheap as the starter bushing trick, but they are steel vs bronze.

If you're gonna run 60 series or mini truck arms I say just go ahead and use 80 series TRE's.
