I’m looking to hardware my radar detector on my 2015 I have a mirrortap fused hardwire kit. I was thinking of dropping the overhead console and tapping into the socket for the lights or the sunroof motor. Can someone provide guidance on which is best and what set of wires would work? Also what’s ground color on our LCs?

I looked into this when i did mine but ultimately ended up running the wire down the headliner and into the fuse box.

I would strongly advise getting a correct electrical wiring diagram.. these vehicles are a bit too complex to assume any wire of a given color is ground.

Blendmount/Mirrortap install on 200 Series for Valentine V1?
Ok. So I installed my blendmount and wiretap over the weekend to get my V1 mounted and powered. Ended up picking up ground and ignition power at the rear view mirror. Pin 1 on the mirror connector is ground; Pin 4 is ignition 12V. Attached the V1 Bluetooth dongle to the back of the mirror with Velcro. Very happy with this install. Will post pics when I have a moment.

this is on a 100 series tapping into the dome light Clean and easy 10 minute radar detector hardwire using Mirror Tap

these are the instructions for a 200 series Map Light assembly

Thanks for the reply’s...I’ll break out the multimeter if I don’t tap off the auto dimming mirror.

OK. So my 2015 LX is a bit different than my 2010. On the 2010, I could pick up switched 12V on the mirror plug (pins 1, 4). Does not appear to be the case on my 2010. Did a little bit of metering out the cable, and can only seem to find 5V. Anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for my 2015 LX?
