yes you can basically camp anywhere you want. You'll see a big "pole barn" at the bottom of the big hill, he said that people often camp down there too, just no water or electricity there obviously.

theres space between the outer ring of RV spots and the fence along the entrance road that are kinda designated for tent camping. He is planning on putting some pads down for tents there and across the road from the bath houses, maybe they'll be done for April.
 
you won't have that problem, Mark is fine with you camping anywhere other than the middle of a road or trail. He joked about coming across some guys camping somewhere in the park that he never even thought about. Turned out to be a great location. He's a very easy going guy.

Ill know more in a few days but I'm sure Haley and I will sleep on the trailer or if I can find a decent truck bed tent we might go that route

I'm not sure what Deryl and Lance are bringing as Lance just bought a new-to-him tow rig and Deryl is looking for a pop-up to put on his trailer. Probably. Drew got a lot of crap from his teachers for missing school for SCC so I probably won't let him go. Of course he doesn't know this yet and plans might change. We'll see when we get closer. I'll just pay for him later if he goes.

That's cool. Your registration covers him. You can spring for the meals (if he wants them) when you get there. Oh, if you want extra t-shirts though, get them ordered ahead of time....before the registration closes on March 13.
 
I found out today that I will have a trial scheduled in Galveston on April 9. That makes my being available on April 4-7 about impossible. But the case may settle, which would put me back in play. You see why I hate to schedule anything too far in advance?
