Hey all,

Just curious what RPM a 2LTE prado should sit at going 110kph. From memory mine is sitting at or above 3k which i find very high, but then again could be normal with the 4speed trans. Im only running 31" AT, would switching to 33" make much of a difference?

TIA

That sounds dead on in my experience. I don’t recall the exact rpm at 110km/h in my auto Prado, but my manual Prado did about 3200rpm at that speed. You can use a gearing or tire size calculator to get a good idea of what you’d gain from moving up a tire size or two.

Bugger! Thanks for the help, much appreciated

The engine is perfectly fine running at those speeds, but I tend not to push much farther than 110km/h. You can upsize tires for a bit of rubber overdrive, but it will put more strain on an already underpowered engine. Skinny 33's are probably as far as I would want to go in that direction.

Awesome that’s good to know, thanks for the help
