Rob,

We met Mark, Jonah and Able, those guys are hilarious!!!

We couldn't miss ribbing them about being from Canuckistan - or about how long it took those hosers to put together some beadlocks!

Ya, beadlocks, eh? Thanks to Luke for pointing us in the right direction or we would have been another night or 2 putting them together. Made us miss the movie tent a couple nights. Too Tall was loving em on Hells Revenge.

Great to meet everyone and thanks to all the volenteers, the Rising Sun and TLCA for the great time.

PS anyone know of a handy dandy program for reducing picture size for posting here? I will do a search, but thought someone might have something.

norcal doug that is a great video! did your head hit the ceiling during that run?
Thanks.
Nope...no head banging :D

I locked up the front and rear diffs and did as my spotter instructed. I really didn't expect to make it up on the first try...just got a good line.

Hey Prez - Well yes- I am a freak o nature :D

Thanks -Yes I wish I had all the armor on that day in March. With those two great spotters I had zero body damage.

Wish you could have made CM05 this year - Hope our club - AZCSC will be there next year - or set up a run sometime in the fall this year ;)

Just a reminder, keep lighters out of Kippers hands when there are 1 foot deep drifts of cotton around the campground.

Hey All...Not a Cruiser person, but found this site and needed to extend a BIG thank you to whoever the Canadian was that sold their 3rd member to my buddy Friday night at your get-together. He broke down on Pritchett (green cruiser) and we had to leave it to go into town looking for parts. Had no luck and had to head back in that night to wrench and extract the vehicle.

Anyway, thanks again, whoever you are!

ABQ-TJ;
Glad you found us...land cruiser people are generally "just like that," and wouldn't think a thing about helping you out. This is a great place to get word back to those that helped. Remember to pay the kharma dogs back when you're on the trail and spot someone in need of assitance;)

C-ya down the trail, Alan

Quite humbling, huh? Just remember that before attitudes are flared first thing in the morning for "airing down on the trail"

I specifically did NOT bring that up because I said my peace on the trail. Wanna keep at it? I'm game.

But as far as I could tell, the guy who sold the 3rd member was not part of the group of 14-15 in front of us.

There's gotta be a funny story in there somewhere HIGHLY so spill the beans.

Here are a few pictures that got sent to me today. We were able to find some sand dunes to play on after doing behind the rocks on Saturday.

Cheers,

Michael

Not so much funny, just rude. As we're waiting for our group to drop into the first obstacle of Pritchett, this guy seems to be a little impatient because some group members decided to air down a little more than what they were at. Anyhoo, he stated that airing down on the trail wasn't being ready... I'm sure he was a little peeved that 15 rigs were in front of him, which I can understand, but it was a paid/organized trail of Cruise Moab. His persistence of "not being ready" arguement was quite rude and annoying, so I simply stated 4 times that we were ready... him walking away shaking his head along with his buddies (2 cruiser owners) really pissed me off....... PEACE? Where's my apology... I was looking out for the TLCA group that paid good money, can anyone blame me? Use trail ettiquette next time, and be patient... your group broke and would have held us up. Thats great that a fellow cruiser owner helped out, and we would do the same thing...... but not for an @$$. Words don't mean much and you remember my rig, so the invite is there.

You won't get an apology from me.

Here's our side of it, since you feel like bringing it up on YOUR board:

Our group of 4 was about to go in when 2 HUGE vehicles go directly to the gate and block it, no biggie, there's a big parking area inside to air down. As we here over more than one cb as people are passing by at the gate that your group is airing down inside, that's exactly what we thought...that you were airing down in the parking area. WRONG.

When we saw a break, our 4 headed in since we thought you were still airing down in the parking area...no one was airing down there, but rather on the narrow shelf road leading to the first obstacle. Nice etiquette. That's when someone, I'll assume YOU, since you know so much of what went on, came back and said you guys weren't airing down on the trail (as we hear HSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS all around us). And then the story changes to you are a sanctioned/organized event, which really doen't hold water. As I said before, we paid our $2 per rig, just like you guys did, to get past the private gate. Nothing else matters. No one group has standing over another, but I will say this...it is absolutely rude and wrong for a group of 15 rigs to hold up a group of 4 that could (and we did at Rocker Knocker) get by you in seconds.

I've waved MANY groups through my group in the past, and will do so again, when I know they will be faster, or my group is out for a long, leisurely day. As I know you guys were and rightly should be for a group that size.

Even if we couldn't get through you guys then at the start, once a few of your guys knew (and they did) that one of us was broken down on left on the trail, someone should have come to the conclusion to let us by since we were obviously headed in to town to try and get parts.

Bottom line, I now know the Cruiser etiquette of block the gate so my group can get ahead of your group.

EDIT...Oh, and I don't know which one you were or your vehicle..not sure what you mean by that.
