The Canavie System looks identical to the Secaine I have in my 05 LX470. The AC controls work flawlessly. However, the stereo controls are GLITCHY. The systems "Radio for local channels" loads easy but setting the pre-sets is glitchy. Sometimes the selected channel sets and sometimes it doesn't. Persistence will eventually get all of them set.

They Secaine really functions like TWO separate stereos. When you want to use bluetooth for songs on your phone, Pandora, etc., you basically switch the radio functionality off. This sometimes requires you to turn the stereo off twice. You will then be in the screen as seen in the pic below. The Secaine come with a bluetooth antennae that you install on the windshield. I still have all of the steering wheel functions. The bluetooth phone works but when someone calls me the system auto answers!

I also installed a new compatible rear camera (the Toyota factory camera is the voltage for the Secaine) it works when you put the truck in reverse.
I'm still playing with the system but it is better than the old system.....just hate the glitches!

Did you run factory rear cam or what kind your post is mising an important word. How did you run the wire from the rear to the front for the rear carm. Thanks for posting we are all interested in this. Can you take a pic of the display when your in reverse so we can see the rear cam quality?

The factory backup camera is not compatible with the Secaine system (i believe it's a 6 volt camera). I'll take some pics of the rear view camera screen. It's WAY better than the old factory image. I had to add a small trim piece to raise/lower the new camera so it would fit in the existing camera space. Also, I just tapped into the existing factory wiring for the new camera. No need to re-run new wiring.:)

I'll also take a pic of the AC screen so you can see the touch screen functionality.

Thank you so much im very interested in this if it seems to be good enough.

Here are some pics. The current camera angle is shooting low so its easier to connect to a trailer hitch. You can easily adjust the angle.

If you are observant, looking at the AC control screen you will notice the hot/cold values are listed in centigrade not fahrenheit. As far as I can tell there is no way of changing the read out value to fahrenheit.

LCjunky- I have no idea, I haven't really messed with the climate field. Were you able to change the centigrade/ farenheit designations? I couldn't find it in settings anywhere.

I bought mine off of Craigslist for $150 from a guy how purchased it for his LC but never installed it. It came with an OBD II and the module for the LX controls, steering wheel and AC. I think you can google Seicane to find out what the options are. Be aware, the install instructions are limited at best and you MUST have experience with stereo installed and removing and replacing the ECU control boards to a new box. I had to consult with a local stereo shop to confirm the need to change out the rear camera and install the Bluetooth anntenae.

Great install! I just installed the same one last month. You can change it switching Audio when you leave the "apps" and go to radio or A/C controls.
Go to the main menu
-> Audio Settings
-> select Auto selection to off
This should allow you to manually select the audio with the Andriod "back" button actually on the tablet. Also, you can flip back and forth with the OEM button for FM, AM, CD, or Tape (now android) this will toggle the audio back and forth, so beware of that. I hope this is helpful!

Is anyone with this install near Sacramento? I'd like to see this install working b4 a purchase as this thread suggests both good an bad reviews.

Hey Charles,
I see this is your first post on ih8mud, can you show us some pics of your rig and install. A video post would be even better.

Wondering how are you guys liking this, my major fear is loosing AC controls over a stereo upgrade due to Android crash.
Between AC and Music I would choose AC. Still wish I could have both.
Is this thing reliable ?
