Part numbers 81240B and 81250B are the weak links. They won't attract a lonely moth. I've upgraded them in all of my Cruisers.

I like this photo .... OEM dome light. :)

If anyone discovers an aftermarket source for the rear dome light lenses please let me know.
Thanks.....

I had a set of led board lights from a few years ago (bought from another vendor here on MUD) in stalled prior to ordering these from 1978HJ45.
That original set had a very distinct blue-ish color (6000k-10,000k temperature range) that i disliked from the moment installed. But they where brighter, so I kept them. Keep in mind the OEM Toyota bulbs are incandescent and produce a yellow-ish or warm-white coloration, aka 2700k-3000k temperature range. This new set from 1978HJ45, the LED boards are true white in color- somewhere in the 3500-4000k color temperature range. Major difference. See full-sized pics below. I highly recommend this as a must have upgrade.

Pic #1 below - no lights on, door closed.

Pic #2 below - Blue-ish LED light boards from a pervious vendor. Notice the purple-blue color on the seats. These are black leather seats, so this will give you a good idea of the LED color.

Pic #3 below - this is the new set of 'true-white' LED bulbs/boards from 1978HJ45. Notice the color of the seats- its black and not blue-ish purple.

Where did the seats come from?

If there is such a thing as reincarnation, I hope I don't came back as a 60 Series rear dome light cover. :)

Ordered my set from Rob! Great crew and a local Georgia boy! Anxiously awaiting arrival!
"Great crew and a local Georgia boy!"
Rob should put that on a web site. :)

Thanks but I'll stick with Rob Smith's LED products. I've got them in my 70 Series and they are great.

This is the longest running thread in the tech section with literally no detailed product information of what is being sold. Wild west 'round here!
Just buy some, they rock:)
