Lean Drop Idle Adjustment

Can someone point me in the right direction for the lean drop method that is clearly explained. The FSM doesn't make sense to me. I don't know if I should be turning the mixture screw clockwise or counterclockwise to make it increase the RPM. It doesn't seem to matter either way.

You turn it whichever way raises the RPM's. If your idle mixture screw isn't changing your idle mixture, you probably have your idle set too high to begin with, or the idle screw is damaged. Or, perhaps you have a good vacuum leak and it won't help no matter how much you richen the mixture. Make sure the engine is warmed up with the choke off before trying to adjust.
