leak question - found under front factory skid plate

IMO: It seems like valley plate leak is almost always off the back onto bell housing on those I have observed. I don’t recall any recent ones where it came down the front like water pump. Those last pics of op show right at WP. If it is coming from valley plate easily seen with borescope on front area of valley plate.

I ordered everything except the cooling fan bracket... will see how that bearing is first.

Got this done today took about four hours….
Clearly the leak was coming from under the water pump, and the reason was that bolt was finger tight!!!

We have owned the car since 30k miles, so I assume stock. Has 90k now, and besides brake pads, tires and battery, first work I have done on it.

Albeit, taking the water pump off is no small feat, but at least it was a simple problem and not something that needed a lot of chasing down and $$$$!
 
Honestly, it wasn’t that hard to do at all. I’m gonna say one and a half bananas.

only thing I would’ve done differently is replace the upper radiator hose and the bypass hose that you can get to both ends. Most of the bypass hoses seem to go back underneath the intake manifold.
