Well we made it back from the maiden voyage in to Ershim Lake. The Wagon performed almost perfectly. I'm happy to say that all the mods I did passed the test. I did manage to break a few parts an expose a weakness. First off the power steering pump is now shot and I'll be putting a large cooler to keep it from overheating. I went through 2 qts. on the trip. Second I broke the drivers side motor mount. I had a spare but just chained it down and went on. I then lost the clutch slave cylinder and had to drive the last hour in and all the way out without it. Over all, the SOA and drive train performed great and I even impressed myself with my driving :D. I failed to school my dad on the use of my camera so the pics are limited so don't cry Jason.

how did ershim hold up this year?

Very well. Lock-n-Low was there when we got there and left the lower two campsites very clean. The north toilet is in good shape but the south one may need to be replaced soon.

So now this is done you can work on the 40 again??? (60 looks great btw)

Chris:cool:

And get a divorce? Nah not worth it. The 40 is moth balled for now. Too many irons in the fire to get it done any time soo. I'll explain at the next meeting.

Did you build the belly pan? How did you make the bends, in a break? Is it 1/4 material? Did it use existing holes in the bottom of the frame (I know there are some there for the stock skid pan)?

Sorry for all the questions, but I need to get on this for the Dusy. . . I will be one of the three that show up! :hillbilly:

I had it done at a fab shop in town. The whole thing was laser cut and then broke up I thik it is 1/4". I did use the holes in the bottom of the frame. I used 3/8 nuts welded in. If you can find square nuts it'll be easier to weld in. I may still have the CAD file I made up if you want it.

We did the CA4WDC High Sierra Porker run over the holiday. No problems with the wagon but the new PS pump still makes a mean growl. I think I may have got a lemon. Any way here are some pics. The first is climbing the hill south of the mine on the Dinky Lakes side. The second two are of the parking problem I had with a 47 low hood and the rest are of Rooster Rock.
