I have a few hundred more photos, so if anyone who was in my group wants the RAW files to play with, or wants full res shots for printing, let me know. If you want full res JPEGs processed and ready for printing, Gabe would probably appreciate any donations for all the jumping in and out of the truck and running up and down the hills he did this trip. (No obligation, but at 15 years old a few bucks goes a long way at the arcade)

Gabe was great! Your pictures are always so much better than all the Iphone snaps. Don't know if I have a need for the pics other than casual browsing but I'd be happy to throw a few shekels at him.

Tobin took the hard line on Heart Attack Hill.

@linuxgod, thank you for posting all these photos! It was so great finally getting to know you and Gabe (and all the others)! Really appreciate all his hopping in and out and grabbing the photos. They turned out really well. Please tell him I said so. I’d love some printable photos and would send him a Venmo.

And, thank Goodness for Budbuilt sliders, skids and shock armor. No doubt I would have been in a bind.

To add insult to injury...

So after this "mudhole that didn't feel right" hit...I kept feeling and hearing a knock on front passenger side. Everything I looked, and pulled and shook...nothing. Take it to shop to get alignment and it checked, nothing.

Drive home and back in..I hear and feel it again. Look and what do I spy with my little eye....that bolt!

No time to get under it, so I send it back to shop, after a rather one sided conversation of...how the $#@@ do you miss that?

Nut sheered off on hit, bolt replaced, UCA removed, checked and bushings replaced, and now no pull. I have no idea how that bolt stayed there driving home from CO pulling trailer and then another 300 plus miles around here.

Bolt was moving and would look in place and unmoved when I climbed underneath on the road.

I'm not sure what was in that hole but lesson learned to look before leaping. Lol

I’ve seen this twice, maybe someone like Christo will chime in. One of the folks confirmed that the upper arm was tightened while the truck was off the ground which I suspect is what typically causes the upper control arm nut to loosen up.
It had to be loose before it sheered off. They didn't take a Pic of it but said bolt threads were shredded.

Is this a temporary body/paint protection (magnetic??)? If so, is it custom or commercially available?

I had heard about it some and talked to the owner about it--those little dots are double sided sticky fittings that go onto the vehicle body and the panels have proprietary fittings that twist into them so there is nothing permanent if you want to fully remove. You just take off those panels and have the dots if you want to temporarily remove the protection

HSTexan is spot on.

I'd add that there is no US distributor for their 200 Series product, so I emailed Rhinohide about shipping to the US. They sent me a quote, I sent payment, and the package arrived in Texas about 11 days later. The exchange rate varies, but it cost $1,545.72, shipping included.

One caveat: if you have the chrome trim piece on the lower part of your doors, you'll have to trim the plates accordingly. The Heritage Edition has clean doors, so I didn't have to do that. My Dissent front bumper, though, did require me to trim about 2.5" from the leading edge of front quarter panel plates. Rhinohide has some videos on how to do that for a snorkel. It's a one-banana job, but measure twice and cut once.

Without the plates, it looks like this.
