Definitely a good day up Kelly Flats! I feel for the guys that had some trouble but I know they’ll be back in full force next year! Thanks to Cody for leading us though.

Buckhorn self guided group did the Geer Road loop. The lucky Taco got to hang out with some cool 200s. Even better than the 200s were the people in them!

What happened to your 200 Jason?

All I’m gonna say is don’t take your eyes off the road. We all think it’s other people who get distracted. I challenge everyone to mentally note how many times you actually take your eyes off the road. It’s more than you think. In my case, we left camp and we’re going down a perfectly groomed and very wide fire road. I realized my wallet was not in my back pocket. I usually set in on the center console. It wasn’t there so I looked down on the passenger seat (I was driving solo) and the next thing I know is I’m in the soft shoulder and couldn’t steer out of it. I think the fact that I was on a wide road gave me the illusion of safety. Don’t be me. Pay attention and don’t think this can’t happen to you because you are a good driver. We all think that. I have been humbled and was very lucky in all respects. Nothing but replaceable bent metal.

Here is the thread on the event:

Kelly Flats did not disappoint—slated for Miller Rock tomorrow; anyone who was on it today have any more insight? Tough, but manageable?
It was beautiful and just enough fun stuff to keep you excited. Not real tough at all. I’d do it again.

Didn’t get any pictures on Miller Rock since it was such a tight condensed trail, but it was a great time!

Nearly everyone ran Johnny Park Road after and that was also a quick and fun trail in the same area

Huge thanks to Cody and Cole for everything they do putting these together. Another great three days wheeling with old friends and making new ones. Looking forward to Ouray next year already! Small photo dump from Ironclads this morning--I have a ton more (unfortunately really only of the cars behind me), but if you send me a PM I can send over what I have.

About halfway across Missouri and these all kicked on. Now I have no cruise control either. No temp issues though.

I'm gonna make a wild guess it's due to P0441 evap code (or related). You were boiling on Ironclads on Saturday.

(edited to add that our truck mileage is the same)🦎:rainbow:

I’ll see your CEL and raise you a destroyed rear lower trailing arm

Thanks to all the homies at Slee. They had replacement parts in stock and able to get me in and had it swapped out before noon. Saved me from having to do another parking lot job.

Glad a code reader got you back on track for now

Don’t let Jeff fool you. Some time was still spent under the cruiser. This dude is impressively prepared.

I dunno man, you've had so much Icon stuff break, I just don't trust any of their gear. Given all the stuff that's broken on you I've actually questioned whether I should keep running their wheels at this point.

You ran Miller Rock behind me. And I didn't even think Kelly Flats was that bad this year. That downhill section right after where it goes from Kelly Flats to Pingree Hill must have been bulldozed at some point because unlike last time it didn't require any line scouting or tire placement efforts. There wasn't any kind of abuse I witnessed on either trail which should have caused that kind of failure.
