This is sort of a hijack, but my eBay account was frozen today because my personal info was compromised. A few days ago i got an email saying a guy was waiting for my payment and if i didn't resolve it within 5 days I'd get a negative mark. EVERYTHING LOOKED LIKE AN OFFICIAL EBAY NOTICE. Y'all be careful.

Same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago... I still cant get my ebay account back up... They keep telling me to use live help but I have dial up at home... Slow as crap want work... My work mail has it web nanny blocked... I cant find a phone number to call to save my life... FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!

My hearts melting, and the crowd in my living room is going ooooo:eek: And Diesel :crybaby:

Awesome BJ40

Hey Theriot, did you know that Jonny Gibson has a beige BJ40 lifted to the sky and rigged very nicely. It has a full cage, aluminum tub, custom front and rear bumper, big jam, brand new seats, underbody lights, and all kinds of other goodies. It is one impressive vehicle. He bought it last year to come with me to the Lonestar Land Cruiser Roundup at Katemcy Rocks. He's going through a divorce right now and the vehicle is just sitting at his (wife's) house. His wife tells me it's not running right now. It can't be anything serious because it was running fine right before the divorce **** started. I've got a feeling Jonny did something to it so she can't use it until the property settlement is done. I'm going to talk to him to see if my assumption is correct. Depending on what I find out, I may take a look at it to see if I can figure out what's going on with it. I may be looking for some support when I go to look at it. If anyone want's to take a ride when I decide to do that, please let me know. This really is a vehicle that would impress anyone. I'll put it like this, Kowboy was passing out many compliments when he did the pre-trail inspection at the ride last year. 'nuff said.

Sounds impressive, I'd like to see it and take some pics. :)

Hey Theriot, did you know that Jonny Gibson has a beige BJ40 lifted to the sky...

No...my conversations with Jonny have been strictly business. Today we finished data recovery on the last of the hard drives taken from the fire. The place burned on Wednesday and we had most of it back online that Monday morning...I'd been working afterhours since the fire on the remaining equipment. Glad that's over. Anyway, if I had a dog his name would be DIESEL. Trish would probably drive it _____________________if it was running!

I have been looking for a paw-paw style original beast in S.America for a while now... well everyone knows I love diesel and all non-usa parts!!! :grinpimp:

A good ole' Troopy will be mine one day :D One day..

In regards to the dog... I have a yellow lab named, "Holly" ...you can rename her "DIESEL" ... w/ time (and the included shock collar) she'll come to know and love her new name.

...I know where you live.. just give me a time to be there.

Yea, the fire was a bummer. I was there before it was completely extinguished. Glad to know you were the one to get everything back up. I insure all of Jonny's commercial exposures except one....the building that burned. That was covered by someone else. Anyway, you gotta see that beast he (and Trish) owns. As far as the diesel discussion, it has always been my favorite engine and fuel. That's why my primary vehicle is a Ford F250 with powerstroke. I will have a 3B one of these days. You all can hold me to that.

Early 70's FJ40 spotted behind Walmart, and Oil Field related office. Very clean and mostly stock. Will pass by tomorrow to drop a card if its there. :)

Kinda looks Jimmy Bienvenu's rig.

Don't know about the mirrors.. think his is the older style.

We took video of all the equipment they brought in. It was all melted. The worse I've ever dealt with. I had a F250 7.3L Powerstroke and wish I still had it. Was a nice truck. I am definately going to go w/ a diesel too...I'm interested in a stock rig w/cable lockers and turbo. No mods other than a mild lift. Either a BJ42 or a 74...preferably a 74...heck I'll take any of them! LOL.

I spoke to Jimmy a month or so ago accross the street from the office. This truck is clean, but Jimmy's is a bit nicer and Jimmy's doesn't have stickers in the back glass. His also has an antique Taxi Meter up by the passenger sun visor. I bet there is a pretty neat story behind that rig.

That's definitely the older style....saw a rig just like it in Carencro a few times...actually saw lots of cruisers in Carencro/Sunset area.
There's an old man that drives a very clean original one. Same color as Thad's. Its pretty sweet. Has the nerf bars all around. Often spotted on the North side of town. Talked to him several times. Says he has parts. Would like to run into him again and leave a card.

Yeah, I stand (or sit) corrected... It looks kinda bent to me and I thought it had a short arm for the old version..... and it's bent.

hell... whatta I know.. I'm a square bezel dude.

I see you blocked out the license plate. Slick. I've never seen that one before and you'd figure with all of us that run that area back and forth from our houses that we would have seen that at least once or twice. Maybe it's an out of towner. Cool rig though.
