Yea, thats an $800 dollar truck for everything in my book.

Nice potential... however, "potential" means that you shouldn't set a price like's it's complete. Shame... maybe he'll come down in the future. Or.. some poor soul will consider it worth the money as is.

thanks for the contri.

Saw a gray FJ 60/62 at Tom's Auto Repair on Verot today. Good looking rig. May stop in tomorrow if it's still there and drop a card.

There's also a white with blue trim 60 driving around the Youngsville area. I can't nail him down to stop and talk to him but hopefully will one day.

;) Awesome Marty. We need to get the 62 rolling :D

I know. It's killing me. I'm waiting on Uncle Sam right now.

I hope your his favorite nephew and he takes good care of you my friend. :D

Here's one I saw a while back behind Ducharme Bros. construction in Lafayette. Poor thing looks pretty sad behind the fence and green mold or some kind of fungus is growing across the hood.

I saw Tonka years ago...I spoke with them about it. My first FJ40 ever was a '74 and I seem to recall that one was also. It used to not look so bad. I know of quite a number of 40's nearby. There is one guy from Cali that has 3 of them just parked, and my old "first" cruiser ever, is still around (with a fresh paint job, etc)-would love to buy it back...rebuilt and all, w/NON-USA distributor and carb setup.
There are several nice ones out towards Breaux Bridge also, and even an FJ25...yeah FJ25 near New Iberia....haven't gone look at that one in a couple years...nice steel on the older ones...my oldest cruisers were the best in terms of metal...I had a 1963 FJ40 which was the oldest registered Toyota in the state (according to the DMV at the time), and a FJ45 pickup that I sold to ole Nolen Grogen (TLCA member). Love to get my fj45 back...

I talked to the folks at Ducharme Bros. and they said Tonka will be reborn after Mr. Ducharme finally retires. He supposedly has another one that is in driving condition too. I need to go find his card and update him about us and the club.

I'm saving my money on my restored, power steering, EFI, 3F headed, turbo charged, 4 wheel disc braked, center consoled, repainted, new tubbed, shackle reversed, roll caged (due to almost killing Larry), new winched, bumpered (front and rear now), all stainless bolted, new painted, Rhino lined, front and rear locked ?H55F'd RIG!

Now there's a mouthfull for ya:bounce2:

And the monopoly hounds go on the hunt!

LOL, I'm serious when I said I'd buy them all if I could. To refrain from getting a devorce we may need to start a Landcruiser sourcing business.
