I test drove it 3 times. It wasn't for me. YMMV.I’m sure the 460 is a great driver, but I could not stand to look at that front end every day…![]()

I wouldn’t even have walked closer to look at it!I test drove it 3 times. It wasn't for me. YMMV.
I was quoted that and I think that is the original wording in a post I shared.Has anyone else gotten price "quotes" that support this:
"The Overtrail Plus configuration will include Smart Key Card, Heads Up Display, Mark Levinson Audio, Power Liftgate, Cool Box and Traffic Jam Assist. Port options will be added to this. Figuring MSRP to total over $85000."
@LCHOU, you're correct. I couldn't quote your post, so I "quoted" your post. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen numbers that high. Not (!) doubting you got that price... more wondering if that dealer was just taking a wild *** guess, or if the real price of a non-stripped down Land Cruiser is going to be in the $80-90k range.I was quoted that and I think that is the original wording in a post I shared.
@LCHOU if the real price of a non-stripped down Land Cruiser is going to be in the $80-90k range.
Toyota's pricing feels optimistic to me. The new Tacoma TRD OR is pushing into the upper 50's with the higher feature sets. That's a lot considering the competition. On one hand - I think the new TRD OR is probably better in almost every way than the old TRD Pro. So it should probably be similarly priced. But it's also competing directly with the Ram Powerwagon, Ranger Raptor, Colorado Bison, etc. That's not TRD Pro, just TRD OR with the premium package. Is a TRD Pro going to be $65k? How much of a premium can Toyota really get? And the 4R is going to have a TRD Pro model hybrid. If that's $65k, where does it sit between LC250 and GX550?
I tend to think the same with the GX - if it's going to be the same price as the LX, why not just offer a trim of LX that's off-road ready? Or maybe that's the idea on what they think the GX is.
Well I might keep the 2023 bmw x7 I got for $100k and owe $58k on. This delay from Lexus on the 550 has me leaning that way.If that's the case, Ill take a premium LX 600 for $15K more every time.
gX550 is 3” shorterAre not the dimensions of the GX and LX pretty close ?
Those 3" must come from that fugly front spindle on the LX...thing looks like it has a beak. Granted the 550 has that tow hitch cover that looks like an after thought....gX550 is 3” shorter
That’s not much at all!gX550 is 3” shorter
In the 600 series, they are dialing back on the grill a bit. Those 3" must come from that fugly front spindle on the LX...thing looks like it has a beak. Granted the 550 has that tow hitch cover that looks like an after thought....
Yeah. They're pretty close - same wheelbase, same width, same weight. Basically they have different bodies and variations in suspension. But they're pretty close. Are not the dimensions of the GX and LX pretty close ?
But the LX grille is so damn ugly.If that's the case, Ill take a premium LX 600 for $15K more every time.
It still looks enormous and hideous to me.In the 600 series, they are dialing back on the grill a bit.
The 600 looks dated and bloated. 550 (GX) is their best design to date on the Lexus side of the house since 1997 IMO.
