Do you happen to know where to find this type of glove box (twist style)?
I believe I scoured eBay and classifieds here on Mud until somebody parted one out. Good luck in your hunt!

That is good to know! Thank you so much Matt!Over the last year or so…
I have successfully created the needed step by steps and sourced the Japan Spec. Lock and Key Service Parts Needed and now routinely Re-KEY / Re-Code any OEM Toyota Locking Gas / Fuel / Diesel Cap that uses a 2 sided / Double sided factory key profile ……1973-1997 All Vehicle Platforms globally including Land Cruisers ….
However ….
I have went at the Locking Type Round Twisting style OEM Glove Box door lock abovein my Classified ad here un-successfully ….
Do to the way it’s Press-Seamed together at the Factory in Japan… I will say for now this is Not Possible , and I can say for a solid degree of certainty, that I do Not think there is a method or technique to do this correctly ….
I had / have several pre-owned same exact glove box locks , and I tried 2 different approaches….
no-go unfortunately….
The Good newz is each NOS OEM locking glove box lock I have , includes the Factory Key Code either stamped on each OEM Key Shaft , or on a included OEM Toyota little Chrome Tag shown in the photos above
In some cases both the keys are stamped and the keysinclude a little chrome key code tag , but NOT all the time ….fyi
