The rear bumper turned out pretty good. I followed the same instructions that are in the kit. I'll have to wait and get pictures tomorrow, its already dark.

cool, i have thinking about coating the rear bumper and sliders i just finished making with the stuff instead of paint so i will have a clean primed canvas.

Here you go, all put back together. Yes I know I only have one fog light...

If you say so...

I'm planning on taking the chrome thing above the license plate off, fixing the holes and then coating it too. I think it should look good.

Wow dude! I just read your entire thread, good work man. Did you get your steering straight? It's amazing how much work it takes to fix up an old car.

Not really, I couldnt get the drag link loosened so I just did it in the steering wheel. It threw off the turn signal stop a little but it works for now.

Happy to find this thread, am on Long Island, have had my LC off the road for 5 years and have replaced the frame and finally am making real headway on getting back to driving conditon. Had frame sandblasted by a pro, coated with zinc heavy primer and black painted. I boxed in the rear frame rails, modified the tire carrier, blew out the insides of the frame and sprayed POR 15 inside with a shutz gun with a long plastic wand. Aksed 15 of my hockey buddies to come over and move body from one frame to the other, only issue was some upper body mounts are a little iffy, I think owing to change in frame around '85. My FJ is '86 but I think frame is about '84. Almost done assembling engine. mechanicals and major body rust are next! Would love to post pictures but this is my first post here and I am not sure how to use all the bells and whistles.

Awesome job Landcruiser60, in one of my favorite states VT!

Thanks. Sounds like a cool build, you should start a thread and post it up. I'm fairly certain the only thing that changed on the frames were tranny mounts and engine mounts (only on the FJ62 frames) The body mount locations are all the same. I used an FJ62 frame and all the body locations are the same.

Thanks, every once in a while I read through the thread again. Makes me miss it a little.

I need a new frame on my 87 FJ-60...I found more pin holes today. Wanna take a detour to NJ on the way to Moab to help me swap my frame? I will pay well......

How bads the rust? The frame swap really isnt that hard. I bet you could handle it.

If you need the help, I wouldn't mind coming up. I originally bought my truck in Verona which is pretty close to you. I hope you have a shop or at least a garage.

Thanks man...I will keep you posted. I do have a garage, however it is only a one car garage. I have a torch, so the body mount bolts would be history fast!
