Seeing these through the years I never saw much of a use for them... but now I'm thinking I'd buy one... They are super useful with a loaded truck.

Yes. It’s the main reason I got them.Anyone using the gull wing window with a fridge, can you access it over the fender?

If you positioned the door opening toward the window it would be a slam dunk winning setup, especially if your fridge was installed on the floor of the 80 and not too elevated. Thanks for the pic. All of these fridges seem to hinge on the long side, does anyone have an ARB 50 with the hinge on the short side that I could see how accessible it is?
Cool. Thanks. I may end up going the window route then. My wife is only 5'2" and I'm trying to keep it low, yet accessible from the 2nd row, yet still pack the heck out of the rear of the truck. If you positioned the door opening toward the window it would be a slam dunk winning setup, especially if your fridge was installed on the floor of the 80 and not too elevated.

Yeah, it was super expensive.Okay, that's a little different story then. I know you already have a lot invested in that fridge, but there are a good number that have added side hinges to these fridges which would be a better fit for what you are looking for possibly. I think someone also makes a kit to adapt door sling orientation.
ARB Fridge would be cooler if it opened like this.
Is yours the composite plastic ARB or an all metal version?
My wife is also a shorty. This is what you need.Cool. Thanks. I may end up going the window route then. My wife is only 5'2" and I'm trying to keep it low, yet accessible from the 2nd row, yet still pack the heck out of the rear of the truck.
Lol. We have a few of those around the house already. I did a test fit and I might need that for the far deep end of the fridge. Thanks foe all the feedback and pics!My wife is also a shorty. This is what you need.

It folds up flat and easy to store and grab right inside the window next to the fridge. She was not a fan of using the full float hub as her step.
Very nice, how about an ARB?

Also note @Mr Cimarron was the FIRST to purchase and install our windows.![]()
I doubt it's possible, but if it is, why would you want to? I would think that the height of the bottom of the window would be too high for any useful table and it would ba a PIA to access the inside with a big window panel digging into your chest. Are these able to mount upside down? Would they still seal out the weather if mounted that way? If mounted upside down, would the wing lay flat against the body, ie is there enough room for the hinge to open 180 degrees?
The reason I ask is I was looking for side access but thought it would be nice to have it flip down and use a chain or hook instead of a kick stand. You could then use it as a table or as side rear access.

Pretty sure I have the first and only set in Japan!
