Somebody on 80s Tech posted a link to Toyota name your vehicle promotion. I sent for both La8enta and Monk Cruiser. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use numbers and was limited to 8 characters max. Here's what came back a few weeks later.

rad!

Sweet, just ordered mine! I am glad you guys posted up about the custome name.

Fellas. It's time for my lift. I'm considering an OME 2.5" with mediums. Even though I tell myself that I won't ever get a front and rear bumper ( just don't think I'll need them) I like the idea, but for now mediums will do. I currently have 285s, but with the lift I may do 295s.

I've called around for some pricing. I want someone (shop) to do the install correctly. I just don't dig on the pricing. The lift kit is already $1k and the install quotes are at about $500.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Also. What will make the lift even? 3" front and 2.5" rear???

Thanks fellas.

Voice of experience...if you are even remotely thinking bumpers down the road, and you will, do the heavies now so you don't pay for what you ultimately will want/need twice! Don't ask me how I know!!! I went Rancho 9000 shocks only. Nice. Then I went OME stock height. Then I went OME 2.5" heavies and couldn't be happier. I do have the bumpers, sliders, fridge, drawer, roof rack, etc.

You might be able to get OME for a little less.
OME coils are $178/pr. and OME shocks are $222/pr. from Slee = $800 + ship.
Also, install is very very easy if you have basic tools, floor jack and jack stands. Honestly, the springs drop out when disconnect the shocks and let the axle drop.

Thanks fellas. Ya. Unfortunately I don't think I have the tools to do the job.

I'm thinking of making the call over to Yotamasters and getting it done. I may go heavies , but then my concern is that I'll have a crazy rough ride without the armor nor the rtt.

So before I went with the lift I went for the RTT. I have always liked both the Maggiolina and Columbus; especially how quick it is to deploy and their aerodynamic low drag design. I found a used Columbus in Ventura for a 1/3 of the cost of a new one. Super clean on the inside. A few bruises on the outside. Going to clean the fiberglass well and then wax it as recommended. I'm stoked on the purchase!!! My kids are too!!!

Oh yea. The RTT is sitting on 2 Thule crossbars mounted to their Rapid 300R gutter mount system. I need one more of these and I'll feel better. I needed something quick, simple, and low cost, but I would have liked a FrontRunner.
