Anyone use or seen these Kolpin LED's, light bars etc...?

Im looking at getting a LED Dually Single w/ the flood pattern for now, and maybe a 30 or 40" light bar in the future. It looks like they compare almost to the T w/ Rigid lights however I have a promotion through a Fire/EMS site where I can get 40% off all Koplin lights.

Thanks for any feedback.

I have the rigid duallies setup as reverse lights, and they work well. My only complaint is the amount of RF they put out, which wreaks havoc with my HAM. Not an issue with them as reverse lights, but it would be annoying as floods up front for certain.

You may want to test before install if you have a radio.

They truly look 95% the same as the Rigid Industries setup. You may want to see if anyone in the Fire/EMS circles have them setup on their rigs (personal or public) and if there are any issues, or if they just light-up the night. The 40% discount brings them to a reasonable price for sure.

In anycase, likely that you will be the reviewer for Mud. If they do well, perhaps a GB could be arranged as folks here usually jump on good deals and 40% gets their attention.

Rigid is going to jump on this if this thread gets hot. I have been reviewing their patents for the last week and they are very broad in scope. Why not just buy Rigid? They are proven, and less expensive.

Not sure about any concern for involving Rigid? There will be no Group Buys or anything of that nature as mentioned above (that never even crossed my mind). The Fire/EMS purchase setup I am referring to is very strict about mis-using the generous offer. I am very thankful for the 40% and would not think about abusing it.

Back on topic, Im looking at the Koplin over Rigid due to the discount they offer in my situation. Just looking for any user reviews. That is all.

pfran, you mentioned over in the LED thread in the hundy section that Rigid makes these Koplin lights. Is that correct? If thats the case that made my decision easy!!

BTW I was not referring to any back-dock deals, rather that if you found them to be a decent product that the company may be interested in working with either a Mud vendor or directly with Mud members for a Group Buy. 100% legit. This forum works pretty good for selling product to folks who have disposable income, and often love new gadgets.

Steve, I completely understand and sure hope my above post did not come across that way. I felt the need to post what I did due to pfran's reply to our discussion. I wasnt exactly sure what he was implying.

Anyway, I will do my best to post up a user review down the road.

Kolpin LED Lights are Manufactured and produced by Rigid Industries LED Lighting. They are identical to Rigid Lights but are Labeled as "Kolpin". They are still MADE IN THE USA and backed by the usual LIFETIME WARRANTY. I hope this clears up some questions.

Yea I'll be watching the thread.... I've got to come up with some backup lights for the trail....right now I'm stock and in the dark visability is really bad. Reasonble prices on a good quality high output LED lights is a challenge. Some of those light bars...are priced crazy in my view...maybe thats just the way it is but does seem high to me.
