Knuckle Sandwich!

Hey cruisers,

I'm doing my first knuckle job, and it was going very well until I tried to re-install the LEFT lower steering arm that the tie rod ends go into.

Upper and lower races and bearings inside the knuckle have been changed and seated correctly from what I could tell. I added the shim up top and hand tightened the 2 bolts, so the knuckle is swiveling nicely and alignment seems good.

Am I missing something? I've put this thing in the freezer, gently sanded the sides, and I'm hammering the crap out of this thing and it won't move a muscle. Something is up. Any and all suggestions are much appreciated.

Edit: oh and I did the right side first, zero issues, went on like butter and torqued them appropriately and checked the load and it was 7 lbs... Agghh!!!!

Shouldn't need to hammer stop doing that

If you pull it off, does the bearing fit easily onto the raised end?

Yeah I actually tried that. Compared it to the old and new and same result.

I have a RHD. Turns out, I am a moron. I had the the arm on backwards. I've been working in 95⁰ all day, please bare with me. Thanks for being there friends.
