Soon to come will be a bracket for mounting the reservoir on top of the upper spring perch.

Nice setup Oversteer. Do you rub at all with your 35's? A 50mm TJM is roughly 2" correct. Would love to see some pics of your rig! I'm gearing up for that lift :D

This is great! I started a thread inquiring about a suspension set up recommend.

I totally forgot about KING's! It's good to be in SoCal :D

I might be down for a set. Just have to figure out my spring set up as noted in my thread. Thanks SoCal for working out a deal.

What's up Eric, I'm glad you can join us. I've read kings are some of the best out there, I really like the fact that we won't have to replace shocks every year. Kings being in socal is also a big bonus, as I read their customer service is too notch.

I'm with Jtwpark, we should get this rolling, I'm shopping for a rear bumper as we speak.

6! already.....sounds good to me. Where do I send payments to?

Regarding payment, I prefer to have the full amount $1880, if you can not do the full amount then PM me. I will package your stuff nicely and provide a tracking number for your shipment. You can paypal gift me to avoid the 3% charge or you can pay the fees to secure your purchase. I have set up 2 other group buys for sliders/skid plates and AOE bumper group buy, members on mud paypal gift and no one has any issues thus far. When someone asked for a refund due to severe delays, I refunded their money immediately.

PAYMENT INCOMING...WATCH OUT FOR MY BENJAMINS!!! 18xbenjamins and 4 jacksons

I think I may have the only set of Kings on a US Spec 80, and I am VERY happy with them. The ride is firm, but very controlled and no harshness. I am running them with TJM Progressive springs and 30mm MAF spacers. Be advised that the spec on the website is incorrect, the lengths listed are too long. These are 10" stroke shocks, not 12". If anyone wants a ride in my truck, they are more than welcome to seek me out and compare it to what they're running.

I applaud SoCal80 for getting a good deal secured, but I would advise against purchasing from anyone other than King and I'll explain why. I ran across a minor issue in that the piggy-back reservoir only fits oriented out toward the tire. On my 4.25" BS wheels with 35x12.5R17 tires, they rubbed under compression/articulation with the wheels turned. I talked to Kellan at King and he said, no problem, come in and lets take a look at it.

I went by yesterday and after evaluating my options I decided it would be easiest to just trim a bit of sheetmetal away from the inside of the fender opening for the shocks and rotating the reservoir to a position aft of the shock body (the spring is in front so that orientation is impossible). Now the reservoir is not sticking as far out as before, but because it is now offset from the steering axis, there is even less clearance once the wheel is turned. We have now determined that the shock setup for a US 80 will have to be remote reservoir. I will be going back to King next week for them to create a bracket and convert my shocks to a remote reservoir setup. All of this is costing me nothing and is an example of King's phenomenal customer service.

I'm not shocked that the 80 application is not completely sorted as nobody has really run them before. I knew going into this that there was every possibility I'd be somewhat of a guinea pig. This real-world data will only help bring forward a better product for all us 80 guys.

All this and King has offered them to us direct at virtually the same price, $1921/set, if we order 5 or more.

What's up bro!!! thanks for your opinion and experience with the Kings, when are you going to come around to pick up the sliders? they are going to be done this week. I wish I get a spin in your truck!!! When you come down, hit me up, I'm a few minutes from the shop.

I just want to clarify EVERYONE in the group buy will receive the same courtesy and care from King, I'm not buying them off a truck after all. I'm working with a dealer for King, so there's no worries about not getting the same customer service.

I have the TJM 50mm progressive springs along with MAF 30mm spacers fr and rr. The front clears with no rubbing now, but I have extended bumpstops...not sure I needed them. The rear barely touches the rear mudflap at full flex (on a forklift)...nothing a little trimming wont fix, but it hasn't been enough of an issue to get me off my bum to do it. In the above post you can see how it sits.

Yes after using king coilovers for a father son tacoma build I'm sold they are one sweat ride and excellent custumer service for sure. I put a little silicone on the hose clamps so they wouldn't come lose, I too had a bolt head right close to the remote reservoir I put silicone in between that too. Blue rtv looks factory. Hardly wait to see some action shots.

What springs will everyone be running?

I have full rear bumper with 3 cans and spare tire etc. Pretty heavy rear and want to make sure I get the correct springs if i do this upgrade.

Front has full bumper and winch.

I am currently running OME 2.5 but the rear rubs and doesnt tug completely with spacers and 35s. Feels like the rear is sagging a bit one one side.

Time to replace the OME.......
