Well we had a good day at Rausch yesterday. Crusha, Pacer, Vince and and Andy M joined me at the chrome diner for a good breakfast. We got of there about 8 o'clock, and easily up to Rausch by 8:30. There were quite a few trucks there and for a fairly cold Sunday I'd say they had a good turnout. Short line at registration but it went fairly quickly.
Our group had eight trucks, Pacer in his 200, Kris and Shaun in their 100 series trucks, Rick in his white 4 runner, Joe in the silver Taco, and three 80's- Vince in the Lexus, Chris with his the blue and white stripes, and Dan Rezic and son on their 80. Several passengers included me riding with Vince, Crusha in with Pacer, Kris' daughter and puppy, and Shaun's son riding with him. Not to mention Chris C's friend Jim who got some wheel time, and Joe's kids JJ and Duke.
Started off with Pacer leading then he handed off the baton to Vince who led most of the rest of the day. The park was really wet with water running everywhere. After sacrificing Joe's Taco on Jotter's way we did a bunch of trails on the west property. We then headed up the pole line, did the 101 hills climb then Andy led us over to the rock climb on trail 2 then over the balance of trail 2. We got back to the parking area a bit after 3PM. Didn't hit much traffic t all in the park was a great day. Temps around 40 most of the day not too cold but not enough to sweat. Pretty much perfect day to wheel and there was no rain at all.
Sure ain't cheap at Rausch anymore, $50+ for a driver and I think $18 for a passenger. They did have three windows manned at the office so that went fairly quickly as mentioned earlier.
So we had two trucks from New York state and two from Jersey, hope all the long distance attendees got home without issue or delay. Let's see if we can set something up for December now!!!!!
