That's exactly what we did on Jrob's rear axle. We ended up trimming that mount a bit so it didn't stick out behind the housing obnoxiously far.

@fountainhead: JT, I reran the numbers with the panhard at 3-inches and it didn't change things much at all.

NEVERMIND...I looked back at the measurements. :)

I looked back and that was good to see. How far apart are the links at the middle of the truck? So 6" at the axle and what is the y measurement?

So today I am headed home. I feel like I made a lot of progress with the stuff I could do. Now it's up to Bill (and Dominic for the wiring) to finish up before crawl.

He's gotta test it so it will spend at least one weekend under water in a river.

panhard bar front to back doesn't carry much significance. one thing to watch out for is roll center height (centerline of panhard above ground compared to center of upper rear axle mounts)....kinda hard to get those close and keep all your other numbers in check.

Mine are all really close. Pan hard at 26", upper axle height at 25.5 and the roll center is 25.98. I won't pretend to know what that means...but would welcome the Jrob knowledge...

Your good...front even or higher than the rear is what you want.

California's in a drought, there's no rivers. BUT there's a good test spot about ten miles from Bill's place that every rig we've driven there has had to come home on a trailer in pieces or has had a park ranger behind it with the lights on.

Um, dislike?

A little update...

The brackets are tacked in and the link lengths determined. I place the order with Branik Motorsports today. We should have them in about 2 - 2.5 weeks. In the mean time, the axles are located on the frame and we're looking at how the ORI's will be installed.

2 - 2.5 weeks of downtime huh? If that's the case, then I guess you wouldn't be too terribly upset if I tried to hire Bill and Kevin Auto Transport to bring a certain pig halfway to MS...maybe Albuquerque'ish.

^AWESOME!^

Um, I believe the downtime was already factored into the plan. DON'T F-UP MY TRUCK BUILD JT! :)
