I've been sourcing out filters and 4wheel in Edmonton seems to be the least expensive: $36/$35 for Sakura Oil and Fuel respectively, and $30 for Full Air. I have not checked NAPA yet.

Also wondering if any of you have thoughts on fuel stabilizer. I've read a lot of great reviews on Archoil but Radd is very keen on Opti-lube.

Hey sorry I missed your thread, don't have time to log on much anymore. Big brake upgrade is definitely worth it, and you can get all the parts at Lordco. Just pick a year (1993-1997) and ask for rotors and calipers. Get 100 series (1998) pads, and they fit with no modification. (More surface area than 80 series pads.) All the parts are same JDM as USDM. With the big brakes you will need to ditch the rotor backing plates, which most people agree is fine, as gravel could get stuck in there anyway. If you really care you could buy the larger backing plates from a Toyota dealer, but they are expensive.

Lordco can get oil filters for the 1HD-T too, just ask them to cross reference Wix 57254. Air filter is the same for all Land Cruisers ever, I think. Gas, diesel, 60 series, 70 series, 80 series, all the same. Fuel filter... probably have to get from Radd or Rocky Mountain.

And if you don't already know, Lordco will rape you on price unless you know somebody with an account. Alternatively, you can register for your own cash account and get a small discount. But still probably cheaper than a "specialty shop."

For my 12HT air filter WIX 42159
oil filter WIX 51627
diesel fuel filter WIX 33393

don't know if this helps, I use Ladysmith Auto, don't have prices

I have been getting fuel/oil filters from Toyota USA still, Made In Japan to boot still. 19 something for oil and 28 for fuel.
Here is Akela's site aka Yan, prices are listed... Grab the P/N from the site above and plug them in!: http://cruiseraddiction.com

I have upgraded my front and rears with OEM 93+ brakes, you can tell the difference but I would start with the fronts... the rears won't be worth it unless you can find the backing plates really cheap!

I run stanadyne Lubricity formula and once in a while I run the performance stuff.

If you need any pump/injector work done sent it to Jon Fox up in the interior... @yotahead

I think that is all for now.....

Good luck with the truck!

Cheers!

Adam, nice truck! I am jealous... I love the dark red 80's. Wanna trade bodys? Bet no one has asked you THAT the first time you spoke with them.

John is at Radd currently. Stop in or give him a call to discuss anything.

What BUILD MONTH is your 1992? If it's September or later, you likely have all the 1993 stuff, including ABS, third row brake light, larger rims and the larger brakes already.
