Hey all sorry i'm late posting and missed last mtg :(

My plans for June meeting based on the new guidelines of first saturday is June 2nd...

i am planning for somewhere outdoors in the East mtns, still working details etc but aiming for a group camp/picnic ground. we'll see what i can come up with and keep your fingers crossed for weather.

it would be total potluck of course, not sure what options we will have for fire/cooking/bbq so we'll have to see. (infrastructure, fire danger, etc)

if anyone has good ideas or experiences with a place feel free to pm or post up, i'm going to go talk to the rangers today and get their suggestions.

knowing no more than that i am going to guess for 20+ people and it might end up just being Ali and our family :rolleyes: who's game knowing no more than what i do so far?

ok so let's just have it at the franklins... (it's close enough to picnic ground) and we have inside and outside possibilities for weather and plenty of parking.


June 2nd 4pm (we'll be out of town the next one)

i'll grill burgers... the rest is potluck. hope to see you all here, gimme a headcount.

For the record, as host you still have the flexibility to pick a weekend that works for you and you can set it on Friday or Saturday or Sunday and you can pick the time.

We wanted to establish a calendar so that people can make plans well in advance by knowing what weekend the meetings are scheduled. The goal is to have a sticky thread with the club calendar for 2012 listing meeting dates, locations, and hosts. We will also add camping/wheeling events to the calendar sticky.

Personally, I like the idea of having it somewhere like Doc Long or Elena Geigos or Juan Tabo PG. One of the best meetings we ever had was on a Saturday afternoon at a local picnic area. Using a public area take some planning though (BTDT.)

June 2nd works for me!!

Sorry, we can't make it that weekend, but we still plan on hosting the July meeting at our house on Saturday, July 7th.
 
Yeah it was too little too late to pull off the picnic area... I spaced it and will start earlier next time for my own sanity. live and learn.

Our place is easy to reserve :-D

More a matter of time. Gone half of this coming weekend, working Memorial Day weekend and holiday, then gone two days to TX. Plus, I might have other priorities. :princess:

I would like to be there, but my sister dropped off her Montero last weekend but did not get to it and could not find anyone that I trust to work on it. Downloaded some manuals this week, so I am not sure if I will get it done in time.
 
A big thanks goes out to the Franklin's for hosting. Even though it was a long drive for many of us west-siders and RR folks, it sure was nice to escape the heat for a few hours.
