Will be there Friday Evening. Will bring something for the grill.

Looks like I'm not going to make it, just found out "we" made plans to host a family gathering of the in-laws on Sat. Looks like the only BBQ I'll get to eat is some I cook myself. Well crap, I was really looking forward to meeting you guys. :frown:

is it too late to say we might make it? (Wife and both kids)

Hope not, been talking it up and hope to make it! I didnt think I ever saw a time posted? Other than BBQ ready @ 2 or 3.

I'll be leaving for SC on thursday morning instead of Wed. evening. I will be there for friday night, albeit zombiefied.

We will start things off around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Since I will need help pulling pork on a dozen or so butts. We will probably start eating around 5. Then there is raffles, give aways, and the famous beer pong championship.:D Could go into the night.

This is a family event right? Don't exactly want to bring my 2 little girls to a beer pong championship, much less myself.

Just trying to figure out if it will work out to bring the girls and myself since we will have to get back for them to go to bed.

Yeah that sounds like a good number. Richard you will be missed.

Thanks Marshall I appreciate the sentiment. I'll be there fairly early on sat with the g/f and dogs in tow and I'll hang on as long as I can before leaving to go to the wedding sat afternoon. The reception is in Walhalla and depending what time its at we may try to run back up to Point O View for a nightcap. I need to try and defend my beer pong championship if at all possible.

Don't worry, it is a very STRICTLY enforced family gathering. Your girls will have a great time. Late night is the adult time. Please come and help us enjoy the mountain atmosphere
and fellowship.

Davids place is really beautiful. I'm bringing Josie on Sat. Kids will have a great time up there. There will be people drinking alcohol. Everybody in the club is very responsible and respectful of other people. Nobody gets drunk. And best of all everyone gets some of my Q.

I figured it would be, but wanted to make sure b/c I am really trying to get the wife and girls into more of the events. I am almost certain we will be able to make it. Say 3pm or so?

If this is a nighttime event, then add me in as a sketch, with a guest. I have work Saturday, and if I get off at a reasonable hour to get there around 5-7, then I'll come. If I have work late, then I would get the Iron Butt award, again.

I am going to finally make an event!!!!

I will 99% bring my son, (6yrs) he is dying to look at Cruisers! Don't know exacatly what the estimated arrival time will be, so don't count me/him for food. Very much looking forward to the big event.

Scott

Upon further review, and since food is not time sensitive count me/us in on food!

tic toc tic toc

The yards are ready. Whew!
Curt, my neighbor, who volunteered the across the road parking,
bush hogged our parking. LOL....He likes pig too.......then again, who
doesn't? Remember, you should drive in to the house to unload,
then go park. It's too far to lug gear or children.

Speaking of children, Point-o-View isn't childproofed.

Good suggestion about chairs. I have a few, but you can never have too many.
Bring your cooler if you like your drinks cold.
We'll erect camp Pig Butt Tomorrow.
Final prep is under way.....Soiiiiieeee.... Piggy, Piggy, Piggy....Soiiiiieeee

Look for Old Glory on the fence.

Picked up 80 lbs of Pork Butts. We are good to go. Tonight brine and rub them down at 6 in the morning. Will make for some good cooking tomorrow night.

Also picked up big pack of hot italian sausage for friday night. Will be good smoked for 3 hrs and then dipped in some BBQ sauce. MMMMM I'm hungry.:bounce: :bounce2:

Man, me too. Can't wait to eat some pig.

Good work guys!!
