Also try AAA Metric in Denver. My favorite supplier 'cuz the guys are pretty nice once you get past the rough coating and really help you out. Don't know if they zinc plated but they have loads of stuff.

I just did a quick read and I see that getting yellow chromate plated hardware is impossible and i am hear to tell you that you are correct.
I just had 1000 pieces plated and it cost me $180.00 at APEX plating here in portland. It is far from cheap! But I am after the OE look as most of you are.
I do sell some bolt kits on ebay and these top and rear door kits look good. The rear doors are hard to tell from OE. But Toyota has those cool heads with captive washers that I have never found.......And I have looked!
The pics of the bins loaded with hardware is my personal stash for my own resto and I dig into it when needed since plating is expensive I save up as much as I can till I have enough to have plated.
I am having the pre 74 door limters built and looking for more correctish hardware.

You can also look under specific description info on fasteners - "aeromotive" refers to small-headed access for tight spaces and fasteners made under that designation should match oem . I regularly buy boxes of flange nuts and such under this listing ...

So in 14 years the only place to get anything that even resembles an honest to God JIS fastener is Overland Metric? Overland Metric has nice stuff but the grades are overkill and inaccurate for a lot of things on a cruiser. There is a reason why Japanese engineers select fasteners of an appropriate grade. The whole torque table goes out the window. There is a whole lot more to it than just the correct wrench size and visual appearance.
