On second thought, I think if we swapped an 80-series suspension under the 60, my arm could be twisted. Those leaf springs, bless their heart, ain't the best for washboard roads.
I don't see why that would be an issue:

This type of trip (there are infinite routes through NV) is pretty much something a stock-ish truck could handle.
A suspension that could handle the weight of all your gear and extra liquids (and a way to carry the extra liquids) is probably the biggest thing.
A fridge is a must in my book. And a radio.
We probably all used our lockers, as well as a few winches, but that's not the norm. It was due to the rain. They probably had two years' worth the week before we got there.

Just like the second "e" in Georg. We all thought it was Jarbridge for the months leading up to the trip.
But, like the stallion piles, or the proper pronunciation of Nevada, the topic would come up and forever be a source of silliness.

For the record, the rover buzz by was epic! I know we both had the same thought and we both had our cruisers running like sewing machines... the minute i saw that geared-up rover and the driver awkwardly sitting with his arm uncomfortably hanging out the window (any rover owners know about this) i decided "Maverick, the pattern is not full and we are going to buzz this guys tower" ... i dropped the hammer and Cameron followed behind in exact air force attack pattern. I looked down at my GPS and i passed that guy at 90MPH!! It was so sweet.
Oh and also, yea the Apple experience was a little disappointing. I understand that there is only so much they can do, but really... constantly trying to up-sell Cameron when he was just trying to get back to functioning was getting to me. I was just trying to keep my mind focused so that i wouldn't show my butt with one of the apple techs by keeping count at all the flat billed hat wearing folks.... i needed a clicking counter.

After New York Peak, the trail eventually drops into this surreal, otherworldly place with smooth rocky formations emerging from the ground and water. This just came out of nowhere and made you feel like you stepped into a different reality. This would have been a bad ass place to camp and explore had the ground been a little drier near the lake.
