I have a similar (FatMat) and it's usage isn't meant to canvass the entire internal skin, but more to strategically place strips, then coat with a Lizard Skin-ish product.

I didn't heed and covered every square inch of an 80. It works, but not as effectively, plus it prohibits a heat shield product from being sprayed to the backing.

When I do the Pig, it'll be done in the same manner as Ron's, for what that's worth.

i love being organized sometimes. these are my pics from 92-93 when i had my first pig

odd license plate light locations....does it look original? early was a single long light, the two smaller lights were located left/right of plate.

Thanks! What about Dynamat products? Have you tried them?

No I have not. I didn't want to glue or stick any kind product that could hold water or have the foil backing pulled off, etc.

With a spray on like LZ, it covers everything and seals any seams. Also, water doesn't effect it.

I'm no expert on sound deadeners, just know what I like.

No its not an original installation. The previous owner couldn't get the original longer light, so he had to install 2 side lights on the bottom.

I wonder if they had to modify/add mounting holes, or add'l holes for electrical?

I'm not sure. I'll get you some close ups for this and the rear view mirror installation this week!

I will try to get the original license plate lamp and reinstall it when I restore the truck.

This car also has an aftermarket Nippon Denso A/C system that used to be installed by the dealer since at that time not all cars came with A/C... The system still works!

Could we see what the interior controller looks like for the 1971?
