Hi,

I just bought this 1971 FJ55LV and it's original invoice says it came in blue and gray. It has been repainted in the same colors, although probably not the exact color codes. This is a Japan or Europe version and I'm trying to find the original color codes so I can repaint it.

Does anyone have any info?

The only info you need is my contact info so you can unload that thing, right now. Hahaha.

I know nothing except that's a good looking Pig and if correct, very cool. Very cool, regardless.

Welcome to the Muddy Pigsty!!

Pablo, there you go....here's the pic. I haven't been able to find new mirrors like these. I will have to refinish them. I'll start working on this pig soon!

Thanks to all!

Hey I can't post any more pics to this tread due to my available space!

Here's the best advice I can offer, regarding.

Buy a Silver Star. Supports the invaluable resource that is Mud and unlimited pics posting.

In the time being, feel free to email to me, and I'll post of your behalf (cause I really want to see it)

Body seems to be in great shape and I wish I had that dash pad.

Looks like you got a good one, to start your own journey with.

Good Luck it with, Ron

Redrod,

I guess, you can tell, I like the Lizard Skin products. Goes on easy, stays on and works. But! it's not a cheap product, I don't even like to think what I've given them, so far. I still need to finish the inside of the body floor.

If you can accept the sticker shock, then you won't be sorry for useing it. In my opinion.

Thanks! What about Dynamat products? Have you tried them?

There's no means to determine color codes by VIN, as I'm told.

not on early models. later models did have a plate with trim. would be very interested to know non us colors....a few decades ago, i toyed with blue/gray (along with maroon and gray) coloring.

dang, now i gotta find those drawings...
