Well we finally have it back on all four tires. Brake lines are installed on rear, have fronts to go. Still need to change the steering orbital out (went from an 8" ram to a 10" and wanted to keep the steering where it was, which was about 3 1/2 turns) and connect the steering hoses to the ram.

Now that it is on the ground I can get the wheelbase right. The front axle needs to be moved forward at least 3/8"- the panhard will hit the ram mount bolt at full bump, moving the axle forward should clear that up.

Front axle is also going to need to move to the passenger side a little bit, just need to drop plumb bobs on floor and figure it out, and also make sure the axles are square with the frame.

Once axles are in place I can get the driveshafts reworked.

Still need to change out the booster and master cylinder (have both just haven't got around to it)

Still need to flex it out, make sure there aren't any binding issues, get limit strap mount back on the axles, and make sure bump stop pads are in the right place

Well...that's how all of them look in the beginning!...lol. Looking at that 1st pic, it amazes me at how much bondo was on that truck!

Pretty much sums up 95% of the South and Central America trucks that are being “restored” and imported these days.

It was a good candidate for your mad mad experiments

Can’t believe this has been 9 years

Can't believe its been 8 years since the "Real Move" see my quote on sig line....

We got the front axle under the truck, brake lines ran. Axle shafts installed. I realized last night that I could fill the front diff without pulling the ram off. While I had the ram disconnected I decided to repainted the axle.

You get the rear shafts in?

No

Well it's getting real close now. Brakes are bled. Checked out the steering angles(making sure there was no binding of the knuckles). Turning is in the 39 degree range.....however, it looks more than that. Got the front driveshaft in and flexed it out, we had to shift the front axle to the driver side just a little to keep the driveshaft from binding on the link mount. The front tire is 45" off the ground.
