Need some help. How do I ship the diff's...they will not fit in a 5 gallon bucket, they are to tall.

Six gallon bucket?

Sorry, I'm really no help at all.

I bet Nolen has a good answer...

All 5 Gallon buckets are not created equal.... I've found some that hold the dif and some that won't. The trick it to put pinion side-down on the bottom and then just have the lid bulging. I never seen a lid not bulge when a dif is in it. Then just pack the crap out of it. It is awkward.

The best way is to cut a second five gallong bucket down and use it for a lid, then tape the crap out of it. That's how Kurt sent me my diff, and how I've shipped a few to others.

That's a great idear!

Thanks Guys.

Is your guy in Brandon an aurthorized ARB installer? I would normally not care... but I ran into an issue where I needed mines to be and he was... whew!

I would definitely spend more money on an authorized installer. Scary part is shipping the diff back with air line installed in diff already. hope it can take the UPS a$$ whipping. can you say insurance. Nolen can handle the packaging to ship it out.

It was cheaper for me to ship mine to Cruiser Outfitters and have them install the ARB & rebuild the diff than have it done locally. It was around $25-30 each way via FedEx ground.

Not only was it cheaper, but they guy they use rebuilds Toyota stuff everyday. When I called around town, everyone I talked to was scared to touch Toyota stuff "cause you gotta get it just right".

Actually it wasn't a big deal... all the delicate parts are inside the diff housing.

I've had a brass nipple shear during transit. Wasn't hard to replace but it did happen and I had to wait for a "rebuild" kit from ARB. The brass piece that screws into the tapped part of the housing

...would hate to be the delivery guy....s***!

Done......and it wasn't $40 either. Those things are 80# each and Cruiser Outfitters comes up as a Residential address in the FEDEX system which is gay. Thanks for the business JROB!

I wouldn't doubt he runs it out of his house.

Jrob making some good progress. I know Daryl is working hard on that axle. I can't wait to see the truck at Roundup.
