the accent color for takumi is dobinsons teal
so i gave them a quick spray

i didnt like how large of a hole they put in the brackets so i made so custom washers.

the stock plastic piece no longer has mounting spots on the rci skid plate.
lexus designed to NACA ducts to direct airflow to the radiator so i wanted to keep them.
2 tec screws sheet metal self tappers and done.

it took me a really long time to cut 2 holes to flush mount these reverse lights.
to small of a hole to use a angle grinder.

It's looking good! I love the look of the stock bumper with a swing out.

Ooh, maybe you can help me with a jerry can mount for mine, sometime? I've got a bracket that slides over the main swing bar that can either be bolted on or welded, to build off of. I'll send a PM so we don't get off track of your thread.

welding a 2 inch receiver tube to the tire mounting flange for a accessory mount. i want to mount some maxtraxx traction boards here.
love it when the metal is clean and you are in a comfortable position and the welds come out like this

ok back to the tire carrier.

came up with this to weld under the hitch for the back up camera.
i dont like it after having for a year. its pointing to far down and i cant adjust it. going to modify this soon

thread for the spring loaded pin for the lockout at max extension
welds are yummy
had to grind down some of the welds from the hinge to the cross member so the spring loaded t handle could screw up
i ****ed it up and didn't give it enough room initially

driver side latch, its super tight inside the plastic bumper but it all fits.
in this picture its mocked up .
i had to cut one tube at 45 degree to clear the plastic bumper.
and angle to top tube so the latch would come out where i wanted it.

my buddy bryan and margaret got me a trasharoo for christmas which was freaking cool
i modified it by buying a plastic trash can and putting trash bag inside of that.
that way the trasharoo stays clean.
it also keeps its shape better it doesn't look all saggy tits

the curse of being someone like me is you see the flaws in everything and i have the skills to improve it.

i was showing my wife the new carrier and the latch spun 180 degrees and hit the truck
**** that
so i took the latch off and added a triangle to it.
now it only moves from latched to open by 30 degrees.
and it cant close to far and hit the body or open to far and hit the body

then one hose exits this manifold and goes to another manifold with a gauge and a slide valve

easy little modification
weld a nut to the an of an oil filter wrench
i dont understand why the companies that make this
make it so thin in the area for the square drive.
if you put a extension the square drive part hits the oil filter and it can go into the hole correctly
i do this to all my oil filter wrenches when i get a new car and it doesn't have tool that fits already
now i can just loosen the oil filter with a socket and not have to take the skid plates off.
