The 3FE project that I was going to start in two weeks, five years ago…. I left the flywheel outside in the elements and it rusted. I wire wheeled it and there is some pitting. What is you all’s expert opinion, have it turned or try to find another one?

Take it to a machine shop that machines flywheels and get their feedback. They’ll know if it’s salvageable or not.

@meatloaf,

@aljollano has found a good machine shop for flywheels - A Line Auto up north. Ping him offline- he has the address/contact info.

Thanks @bottombracket , I will call him

A machinist would know for sure, but I would have it cut anyway just to see if it can be saved.

I sent this info to @meatloaf but I also wanted to post it here for anyone interested.
