Searched my Toyota parts list no luck went to Mr T to see if they had a gasket in their system no luck.
Anyone know if in fact there is a gasket( part number ) for these two mating parts or is it a mystery and everyone just goops silicone for the seal.

Just curious. What is it?

its the radiator inlet the part at the front of the engine is part of the timing belt idler pulley which has the housing and idler incorporated as one part.
The casted housing at the left is grooved as if there would be a rubber O-Ring or rubber compression seal that would seat in the groove and compress to form a seal.

Based in Toyodiy parts diagrams, for the water outlet from a 3.slow there is a gasket listed for the outlet in the parts list, part number 16341-65010.

But the picture looks like it is the doughnut gasket for the t-stat and water inlet.

That gasket is for the T Stat it is the top rad outlet in the diagram I am looking for....its odd that they call the bottom and the top the outlet but I guess one is the block outlet and the other is the radiator outlet.
It is the radiator outlets casted piece 16331's gasket I am searching for.

There is no gasket there, FIPG only. From the '94 FSM:

The 3VZ is backwards from the 22RE, the thermostat is on the coolant inlet, down at the water pump. Make sure you fill the engine from the top hose when putting the new coolant in, otherwise it can over heat before the thermostat opens.

Well, there ya go. 08826-00100. I think this is the first time I've ever seen a part number in the FSM. Is that just a tube of FIPG?

What is FIPG I assume it is a tube of silicone type gasket goo
I ran that number through the Toyota data bank came up short no listing for that number.
Thanks for the print screen and the feedback from you guys.

Form In Place Gasket (FIPG). It's Toyota's RTV type sealant. I ran that number and it did come up at several dealers. Serious sticker shock.

The Right Stuff works so well that I'm willing to buy the aerosol cans even though I know that once opened they have a short shelf life, and its not inexpensive.
