I saw this: Overland Expo Mountain West | Loveland, Colorado - https://www.overlandexpo.com/mtn-west/

And thought about going to check it out, it’s a bit of a drive from Tucson AZ and tickets are $42 for the day.

I have just bought the 1999 Lexus lx470 that has 80k miles and all factory original.
I want to convert it to my overland vehicle for trips to the Yukon and Alaska but what would that benefit me as opposed to learning everything I need to know here and other places online?

Just curious.
I think it would be fun to go but it’s a long drive just for a day there.

Thanks,
Wade

I believe they do it in Flagstaff every May, just wait for that one.

I haven't been, seems like most of the products there don't really apply to the way I use my rig. There's plenty of YouTube videos to give you an idea of what's there.

Yes the “original” overland expo is in Flagstaff now, not sure how the others compare in size.

I’ve been a handful of times since the first one, my opinion is that if I were you I’d wait til May to go to flag.

It’s become very gear-centric.

I’ve also been to the Flagstaff one several times…for me at least, well worth it. Stay overnight…even better.

Only if you have a lot of disposable income...

I found ALOT of very expensive vehicles with lots of goodies to look at and get ideas. NOT alot of vendors for parts/accessories, equip. Bring 750,000 and shop for an earth roamer type glamping rig. I would love to see something at Expo with a scratch on it.
scratched rigs are in the parking lot

I went to the one in the East last year, I plan to appear again this year. Good place to look and get ideas. I agree with the "glamping" themes. Lots to look at. Some show specials as well. Mine is only 90 min away so a lot easier decision.

I like to go for ideas then make same thing for 1,000's less.
Yup, I don’t have a 270* awning but I have a 90* for literally 10’s of dollars.
Always thought about making the shower thing but now they’re on Amazon for 100 bucks. If I ever want one.
