I am running down to Ironpig in the am. The shop is right around the corner from where I live. Well actually if you consider 750 miles around the corner. I am planning to get the 55 they and Ryan built Thursday mid morning and return home Thursday night. Should be an interesting road trip!

Looking forward to meeting the crew there and meeting Ryan Scott. I have been watching Ryan's build for quite some time, so it will be nice to see it in person. If all goes well, I will be the proud owner of a 1971 fj55 with a few mods here and there. All kidding aside, I am pretty pumped to own a 55. I have owned pretty much every dam type and model fj over the years. The 55 is the only one I have never owned.

Wish me luck and look for the white suberban towing a big white and green 55 from the east coast to the midwest.

i drove mine 6 hours back and it was AMAZING! not the best and most comfortable ride ever, but it was great fun with my dad. so i'd recommend driving it back if you can

Wow I met Eric on Wednesday night. He is a crazy guy. I don't envy his drive, but he seems like one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Hopefully he will be back on here after the weekend with some new photos of the 55 in its new home.

If you need anything Eric just give me a call.

Ryan.

Got home at 12:30 am last night. Fun trip. I drove home through rain, sleat, high winds, and a snow storm. Fun time to tow. Needless to say I made it home fine and in good time.

I woke up and emptied the 55 of all of the stuff Ryan had with the truck. I think there was another 55 in the thing!

I drove it this morning after a minor fuse setback and a call to Ironpig. Thanks goodness for a test light..

Thanks goes to Ryan for meeting me is some parking lot in the middle of nowhere to give me some parts and the title. It was a pleasure to meet you Ryan! Sure wish we lived closer so I could take you out for dinner and talk more about your project. I hope I can finish it the way you had pictured it. May take some time, and a few stupid questions, but it will get done. You officially have right of first on the 55. And as for having a killer 55 mission, you indeed are the man! I couldn't have even come up with some of your ideas. Great job.

Cam and Lance are great guys. I felt bad taking the truck out of there. They really do dig the thing and did a great job as far as I can tell on their portion of the build. They were cool enough to do a quick locker switch instal for me while I waited. That helped huge cause I looked at the amount of wiring in the thing this morning and it shocked me. It will take a long time to figure this all out.

I will try to post a couple pics but they will be small. They are from my cell phone this am. Feel free to re-size them if you know how. I wanted to park it in the garage but my wife had her suv in there. Wouldn't be good to move her's out yet. She needs a little time to adjust to the latest addition to the herd.

Thanks again Ryan. I am sure I will be calling. Infact I don't even know what type of gas to put in the thing. Super?

I am tired and need to drive north this afternoon. Pretty pumped to have my first 55. It will really sink in next week when I can actually look at it for more then an hour.

From having seen the past Cruzah's you've owned, this one'll fill the void nicely :) You did sell the other 45's right? From the pics posted on here, this is one of the nicest :pig:s I've evar seen. You checked to see if it'll fit in the garage yet, it's pretty tall? Looks like you'll hafta air the tires down. Congrats on the purchase, you definitely have a unique rig. ;p
