Hi Thanks so a 4 or 5mm spacer is the max we can add 🤔, almost 10mm extra drop to be gained at the wheel. That look short to me.
Thanks for the measurement 👍🙂

There is an other longer front shock, the EFS xtr, 453mm instead of 440mm oem, adding 5 to 7mm in spacer would give what i am after.

I'm looking for a more recent review/experience with the IRONMAN PRO since the revalving. Anyone would like to share?
When were they re-valved?

All I know is the 100 used to come in firm and comfort. Now only firm.
I think the Pro Foam only came in one variant. The white bodies Non-pro Foam Cell came in firm and comfort variants. I can't recommend the white bodies as I've heard not so great things about them.

FCP's have been a good all-round shock for me. Recently after installing taller & heavier springs (864's) away from Ironman TOY13B- the rear handling seems more affected by the new coil rate- more of a subtle rolling motion (not jarring)- I guess increased "jounce" as it might be best described, which I attribute to rebound valving in the FCP being a bit too soft to optimally control these springs. This is where a shock with an adjustable rebound would come into use for me.

I have a newer kit installed. I received the shocks on October 4th so not sure if they are the most updated or not. Anyway, I have 13c rear coils on my kit so I have a nice rake with putting my front torsion bars at 21.5 inches hub to fender. The differences I've noticed since going from AHC to this is I have more front end dive when coming to a stop. I've never driven a regular shock 100 series so I dont know if that is common. Other than that they seem to ride great.

Way back when I was the first hombre to try these FCP around Mud on a 100 the 100 series had soft and firm. Black body. It was about 2 years ago I tried to get soft and they had gone to firm only.

When I bought my FCP’s in March 2016- I don't recall there being an option the Pro series; Metal Tech only offered one AFIK. Now Im wondering WTH I received. Is there a part number on the shock body that differentiates the two?

Actually, foam cell shocks need to be bigger than an equivalent gas shock. In a gas shock, as the shock heats up, the gas expands, raising the boiling point of the oil. That can't happen in a foam cell shock, so they make them bigger to account for that.

I'm not trying to knock the ironman shocks. I haven't tried them myself and they may be awesome. I just hesitate a little bit because a) you really don't see many manufacturers doing foam cell shocks and b) Ironman is generally considered a bit of a discount brand compared to OME in Australia.

What's your impression of the Dobinson IMS shocks for the 100 Series also I believe made in Australia .

Hilux review: 2 and a half years in and I’ve only had 2 issues.
The plastic stone shields rubbing on the chassis on the rear, they are now removed. And the front springs sagged badly, they have been replaced.

The shocks themselves are great and have had a solid workout carting loads of sand, gravel and other construction materials, they’ve also been pushed hard off-road and on the beach. For the price they have been great and I prefer them over the fox 2.0s I had prior.

@Ironman 4x4 USA discount code isn’t working. Is there another one to use?
