Hey guys,
Anybody know where I can get a pair of lockers, front and back for my rig, FJ60? I found by a lil test that its time to....do it.... hunting. Not nuff dough for new right now. Maybe by March. s*** tires, so I'm also on the lookout for some 16's, rims and tires, for our baby. Thanks

Yeah i'll make sure to get some pics posted when i get back home... Getting excited to work on it again. ordered the engine mounts the other day. Plans for the project, 350 with tbi, sm465, np203 with 3sp case, soa, and 35s.

should make a cool rig:steer:

Howdy, new guy in Missoula here. I have a 1994 LC, or will next month anyway. I'm new to these from the mechanical side, but have driven the crap out of the one that will be mine next month since it was my Dad's. We've taken this thing all over the old abandoned logging and mining roads around Wise River.

Now that I'm paying attention to it, it is surprising how many LC's I see on the road!

Wise river was much better before they paved the road, cheers, Larry

You are not kidding though it is still my favorite place in the world. My family has had a cabin up there mixed in with all the camp grounds since the 30's. It used to be a big deal to see a car, now there is a constant din of cars, trucks, and dirt bikes/ 4 wheelers. I remember it being an hour+ from Wise River on the one lane road with turnouts to get up there crossing rickety looking wooden bridges. The paved it right after I got my drivers license.

It is not too hard to find a place to yourself up there with any sort of rig with standard truck ground clearance. I love cruising the old unmaintained roads and finding old mines. My favorite one was a hippy commune for a while based on some of the trash and painting on cabin walls.

There used to be some great trails on the East side of Wise river between there and Beal Mountain and Storm Peak where ther are some old mines, definatly a chain saw trip, one of them had an old Lincoln Zeffer(sp) car at the mine, I took the hood ornament there were several old trucks as well, I am sure the road police (AKA forest no service)have long since closed them.

Still waiting for pic's of that old FJ45 in Great Falls?????

Yeah, yeah, I know...:) If i could i would... Stuck out on the road working. On the plus side, it gives me lots of time to dream up ideas and make plans for the project.

Hey Guys, I have met a few of you around the Billings area but figured I'd post this after Rigger's request...
I've owned this 94 for five or six years now. Always something to do to it, but I'd still choose the same rig again to start with for the family (now 3 kids) to enjoy our beautiful "backyard". Recently added a relatively straight 85' 60 to my driveway, but it isn't running currently. Some day it will leave the driveway under it's own power, which I'm sure my wife will appreciate.

This was Morrison 2010...

My name is Ben, I am in helena. Been on the board for quite awhile, but not in the MT section much, so I am diving in now. :)

I own the Hobby Garage in Helena and have been into r/c rock crawling for 8 years. Started a r/c manufacturing company in 2005 called montana scale designs and it has been gang busters ever since.

I have owned many toyota's. Current stable is 85' runner - 4.3 vortec, 37's, locked duals blah blah blah. 97' 40th , ome 3" , 315's, slee, ipor, lockers etc, 87 2wd parts runner truck 22r 300k, 4 - fj40's, 2 parts rigs, 2 runners, and 1 fj40 buggy build - long way from being done. :D

I have lots and lots of toyota parts at my shop, mini truck and 40's at home and am always happy to help out a fellow mudder.

Just moved to Billings from Casper, Wy. Got a 91 FJ80 with a HUGE to-do list as soon as I find the wife another vehicle. Looking forward to exploring the country trails in the area next spring!!

Looking for other LC junkies in the area to hit the trails with, or tinker at a "tech-day".

I spent about 2 years in the ye olde Magic City. Don't know to congratulate your console you. ;)

Lots of trails southwest of you in the Beartooths. Welcome!

Hey all I'm Joey. I have been lurking for a long time and finally became a member. I have owned many Toyota's but never the coveted FJ40. UNTIL NOW:bounce: I found it in OK on CL and bought it. It's a 73 that is kind of used and abused but in time will be a work of art. My plan is to fix it up the way I want it and give it to my son once he is old enough. Any hoot that's my condensed story.

Hello all, Scot here in Great Falls. Just bought a 1992 FJ80 last fall. Grew up in Montana and spent a few years away, but I'm home now and looking for decent places to do some off roading. Hope to see some of you around.
