I'm the proud new owner of a 1973 FJ40. I've owned 3 Jeep Wranglers but decided to go down a different path with an FJ this time. My parents owned an FJ40 in the 80's so I have a soft spot for them. My hubby and I are hoping to do a few things to make this our own but it's in pretty good shape to start with.
We live in Billings, MT; we moved from Sheridan, WY in 2007 so we're still kind of "new" to the area. Especially in regards to the trails in the area.
I'm looking forward to meeting more FJ owners in the area.
Fab work? there is a decent shop in Helena.
Nice! Name and number?
it's on the west end of town

Next will be sliders ... which brings up another question, any of the shops in the Gallatin valley do any fab work? I only know of Mike's in 4 Corners and Renegade.
Dark Horse Customs does fab work too. A couple guys left Mike's and started this place. I had parts for my Vortec swap cut there on their cnc plasma table.
Also, I have a JD2 tube bender w/ 1.75 round die, and my roommate has a welder if you'd have any interest in making your own...
